Phase 2: Fundraising to support later needs, and further delivery of supplies.
Phase 2 of our plan is now in progress. As you may have guessed, this is where we desperately need your help. The supplies we already sent Peter* and his family in Phase 1 will certainly help for a short time, but they will not last long. At present, we have no funds available for further aid to the Okellos*.
Whether or not this family will have enough to eat next month, depends on the generosity and compassion of people like you. Any amount you wish to contribute will be greatly appreciated. For the duration of this plan, the Okellos* will have priority for any donations you make to our Africa Fund. If donations exceed the amount needed by this family, second priority will be for other families and individuals, in Africa, facing similar circumstances. Phase 3: Rehabilitation and return of Okello* family to self-sufficiency.
We are pleased to have been able to put our donors' generosity to good use, by providing urgently needed relief to the Okello* family. We hope to continue doing so for as long as necessary, but no longer. There are countless more victims of religious violence than we can ever hope to help. Peter*, himself, has expressed a desire to volunteer his time to help others, in similar circumstances, in his region.
Our ultimate goal, in this project, is to help this family find its way back to health and self-sufficiency. Then we can refocus our resources on an equally worthy cause.
