Turn your vision earthward -

A tribute to those individuals and organizations who have had or currently have a positive impact on EARTHWARD.

GodBusters LogoGod Busters is the internet forum from where the concept of EARTHWARD first sprung, was developed, and finally realized.  We thank all who contributed ideas to promote the creation of EARTHWARD.

Jyoti Shankar was our first Vice Chair, a founding member, a major contributor of ideas, and a friend. Regrettably, we lost him to a heart attack shortly after EARTHWARD's establishment.

HUMAN (HUManist Association of Nepal) is our first affiliated organization.  With HUMAN's help, we hope to provide assistance to victims of religious violence in Nepal, despite that few Nepali citizens have access to the internet, our primary communication medium.

HAN (Humanist Association of Nigeria) is our Nigerian affiliate. HAN has provided us valuable information and advice, for our fundraising project on behalf of Amina Lawal, the young Nigerian woman sentenced to death by stoning, for adultery.  We expect to work with HAN on many further cases of religious violence in Nigeria.

Sisi Kwa Sisi, our affiliate from Tanzania, has brought to our attention the suffering of many in that nation, as a result of religious/superstitious practices as the murder of "witches" and the ritual use of human skin.  We hope to alleviate that suffering for those who survive and must bear the loss of family and friends.

RRS LogoWe are pleased to announce EARTHWARD's affiliation with Atheist Volunteers and it's parent, Rational Response Squad.  RRS has acheived impressive successes in its campaigns to promote rational thinking and to defend atheists from misguided stereotypes commonly held by the religious community.  Through Atheist Volunteers, RRS has offered to use its acclaim and visibility to help
publicize EARTHWARD and its various projects.  We are hoping this will raise public awareness of our work and support therefor, particularly in the form of donations and volunteers.  Even before our affiliation was finalized, RRS, donated $150 to EARTHWARD for medical treatment and supplies urgently needed by, the father of the refugee family in Kenya, whom we have undertaken to help back to self-sufficiency.
An article was also published on their Atheist Volunteers website alerting visitors to this family's dire circumstances, and urging donations.  We sincerely thank RRS for their kind donation and for their rapid (and of course rational) response.

EARTHWARD proudly endorses Secular Coalition for America and it's work to promote the fundamental rights of non-theists.
